Description: Funky Rose is afun, free-wheeling design, so jump right in and try something a little crazy. Studentswillbegin by creating their own textile paint using Polished Pigments and, and adry brush technique, to color wash the canvas. Next comes the Funky Rosewhich is stitched with 7 mm River Silk Ribbon and embellished with Bead Gravy. Finally they will add multiple bands of borders using slubbed silk, Soy Luster Shadows, Flair, Cotton Pearls, Silk Twist, Silk Boucle, sequins, wire, Boing, and more beads.At each step along the way there are opportunities for adding more or usingless embellishment. The number of threads used, and where they are placed, is up to each stitchers! This is achance to try out new techniques and materials. There are no rights or wrongs, just a framework to get thecreative juices flowing.

Ground Fabric: 18 count white mono canvas. Participantswillcolor wash their own canvas. Thecanvas willhave the design already outlined and the edges will be taped.
